Tres Hermanos Mexican Restaurant, a hidden gem located at 10209 Cougar Ridge Pkwy, Waco, Texas, tantalizes patrons with its authentic Mexican cuisine and warm hospitality. Customers rave about the flavorful dishes, such as the enchiladas that Bill Bates claimed are packed with more flavor than most in Central Texas, along with satisfying lunch specials like the chimichanga and charro beans, all offered at impressively affordable prices. The atmosphere strikes a pleasant tone, making it an inviting spot for a casual meal.
Feedback from diners like Tammie Carrizales highlights the restaurant’s generous portions and delicious offerings, even drawing in customers recovering from surgery with the irresistible fajitas. Found another hidden gem.... Came in not expecting much. Not real busy. Kind of not well seen from the main road. Thus, decided to just get the lunch specials. Chips & Salsa were about the norm, nothing special. I got the enchiladas and my wife the chimichanga. I figured for 6.99 and 7.99 that it would at least fill a hollow spot. I was pleasantly surprised. These enchiladas had more flavor than almost any I’ve had in Central Texas. The Charro Beans didn’t lack for flavor, either. My wife raved over the chimichanga and the guacamole so much that I kindly helped her finish them. To top it off, it all came fast and the waitress was great. To quote another of the reviews,”what is there not to like.” Cheap meal, good service, and great food! So, if you catch yourself in China Spring at lunchtime and want something different than the great food they serve at Griff’s, hunt this place up and enjoy.

I came to Tres Hermanos expecting a good meal—but I left forever changed. A few years ago, a mysterious stranger on a train whispered to me: “The three brothers hold the key. When the moon is high, your taste buds will unlock the truth.” I had no idea what it meant—until last Tuesday, when the supermoon called to me. I rushed to Tres Hermanos, narrowly dodging a rogue tumbleweed that definitely knew too much. The moment I stepped inside, the scent of sizzling fajitas filled the air, and the universe aligned. The brothers welcomed me warmly, but there was something in their eyes—had they been expecting me all along? Then came the enchiladas. I took my first bite, and everything changed. My vision blurred. Colors swirled. The secrets of the cosmos unfolded before me. The truth about Atlantis, extraterrestrial life, and why all my socks go missing —all revealed in layers of melted cheese. I stumbled out under the glowing supermoon, my third eye fully awakened. I knew what I had to do: honor this celestial experience the only way humankind knows how—with a five-star review. Tres Hermanos, I see you. I know your power. And I will return.

First time trying Tres Hermanos and we were pleasantly surprised. Very casual setting. Very busy on a Friday evening, but the service was great and the food quality was excellent. We tried the beef nachos supreme for appetizer and it was a large about with flavorful beef. For dinner we tried the 1 pound mixed fajitas and it was more than enough for two people. We took half home. The beef was very tender and fell apart as I placed it upon a fresh flour tortilla. Charro beans and rice were cooked perfectly and great flavor. A experience in a location where you may not ordinarily drive to for a Mexican meal, but I suggest you do. You won't be disappointed. Also, great frozen strawberry margaritas.

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Tres Hermanos. It's a nice, small, restaurant, with a pleasant atmosphere. The food is tasty and fresh, hood food portions. The staff is warm and courteous. It's our new go to for authentic Mexican food.
